By Mundi Tomlinson - AGIMO on 12 Jul 2011 12:00pm, 3 comments

The Telecommunications Internet Based Network Connections Services Panel has been established. The initial panel members are:

  • Fujitsu
  • Telstra
  • Transact

A number of companies may be added to the panel in the near future, as negotiations and contractual arrangements are finalised.

The panel provides access to telecommunications carriage services, including major internet connections.  This panel may be accessed through the Department of Finance and Deregulation.

This whole of government panel is mandatory for Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA) agencies, and optional for agencies under the Commonwealth Authority and Companies Act 1997 (CAC). State government agencies can use this panel.

The Telecommunications Internet Based Network Connections Services panel has an initial term of three years. The initial term may be extended by the Department of Finance and Deregulation for a further two, twelve-month periods.

I posted a notice here on the blog about the RFT for this panel, which was released in August 2010.
