Portfolio Panels for IT Services Policy
As announced by the Special Minister of State, Gary Gray, in a media release today, the Secretaries’ ICT Governance Board has endorsed the Portfolio Panels for IT Services Policy. This policy, effective immediately, is the outcome of the consultation across industry and agencies on the optimisation of IT Services Panels including the 2010 discussion paper, commonly referred to as WISP.
The new policy provides the flexibility that agencies require over a wide range of IT Services. It will deliver operational efficiencies while maintaining a high level of open competition. Read more

Government Search Services contract awarded to Funnelback
Hi I’m Marcel and I’m acting as the Assistant Secretary, Online Services Branch. I want to let you know we’ve now finalised work on arrangements for the provision of Government Search Services – the contract was signed with Funnelback Pty Ltd on 12th October 2011.
The Contract has an initial term of three years which may be extended by the Department of Finance and Deregulation for a further three, twelve-month periods. The contract for the provision of government search services was described in the Request for Tender (RFT) issued by AGIMO in May 2011. Read more

Today I presented to the Australian Information Industry Association Canberra Managers Forum on Australian Government ICT Procurement. I provided an update on activities, many of which can be seen in the Procurement section of this blog. For the first time, I sought input for the speech using Twitter and the hash tag #AusGovIT.
