Announcing the Australian Government ICT Graduate Program
On 8 December 2011, the Australian Government announced a pilot whole-of-government ICT graduate program, commencing in 2013.
The Australian Government ICT Graduate Program is a specialised program designed to recruit ICT graduates into the Australian Public Service (APS). The Program will assist agencies to fill ICT graduate positions in a competitive Australian graduate industry. The Program expands on the Australian Government ICT Entry-level Programs currently offered by AGIMO. Read more

Tonight 16 ICT Cadets, Apprentices and Australian School Based Apprentices celebrated their graduation from the Australian Government ICT Entry Level Program. Congratulations 2010 APS ICT Cadet Paul Du
The ICT Skills Team would like to congratulate one of our 2010 APS ICT Cadets from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations Paul Du on his success in the 2011 Imagine Cup competition. Paul and his team have won the Australian Finals and will now compete in the World Cup Finals in New York in July.
The team’s entry is a program called the ‘Brain Speller.’ The program will assist people with decreased physical functions communicate with others by converting electronic thought signals into text. Read more

APS ICT Entry Level Programs Graduation
For the past four years, the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) has managed the APS ICT Entry Level Programs, recruiting ICT apprentices and cadets into a number of Australian Government agencies.
Last night I had the pleasure of attending the APS ICT Entry Level Programs Graduation Ceremony. It was a wonderful celebration of the achievements of 35 apprentices and cadets from 12 Government agencies who have now completed their academic qualifications while concurrently working in the APS.
